Game Blog · Surry Hills, Australia

Carved words for games worth remembering.

Long-form reviews, boss-fight breakdowns, and indie discoveries — printed like woodblock, sharpened like a well-timed parry. New editions every week from a small studio in Surry Hills.

A note from the founder

We write about games the slow way.

I started DragonSteelQuest in a terrace-house study off Crown Street because the reviews I wanted to read didn't exist. Not scores rushed out on launch day — but writing that sits with a game for forty hours and tells you what it's really like to live inside it.

Every piece here is hand-edited, illustrated in a carved woodblock style, and free of sponsored scores. If it's on the site, we finished the game — usually twice.
